Our Story

A choice.
Coming home.

GK Industries SARL was established in 2019 on a core strategic conviction: the Democratic Republic of Congo holds the natural resources required to feed the African continent and compete on global markets. The missing variable was committed local entrepreneurs ready to build the structures to make it happen.

Raised and educated in Europe, Mike Djimbo GUILLAUME and Deborah Kipulu GUILLAUME made the deliberate choice to return to their home country to contribute to its development. Not as expats investing from afar, but as committed actors, present on the ground, building a company in the image of their ambition for the DRC.

Their strategy targets three sectors where Congolese potential is immense and underexploited: agro-industry, the natural engine of a country endowed with tens of millions of fertile hectares; technology, so that the DRC is not a bystander in the digital revolution; and investment, because only Congolese people themselves can build a sustainable economic ecosystem.

Mike Djimbo GUILLAUME
Co-founder & Chief Executive Officer

A business professional by training, Mike drives the commercial strategy, partnerships and development of GK Industries. His vision: to make the DRC a leading agro-food exporter in Central Africa.

Deborah Kipulu GUILLAUME
Co-founder & Chief Operations Officer

A professional pilot by trade, Deborah applies the rigour and precision of aviation to GK Industries. She oversees the entire logistics chain — from the Kwilu to Kinshasa — with the same exacting standards as a flight plan.

Our Convictions
01

Food Sovereignty

The DRC still imports a considerable share of what it consumes. GK Industries works to reverse this reality by developing a local, competitive, bio-certified supply chain capable of meeting the needs of 100 million Congolese.

02

Inclusive Development

Our Kwilu estates do not operate in isolation. We collaborate with local cooperatives, farmers and provincial authorities: supplying selected seeds, providing agronomic training, and guaranteeing the purchase of harvests that conform to the Kwilu Bio label.

03

Congolese Innovation

Technology is not a luxury reserved for developed countries. Through our Tech division, we co-develop with local start-ups tailored digital solutions: agricultural management, logistics, institutional administration.

04

Congolese Capital

If Congolese people do not invest in Congolese companies, no one will do it for them. GK Industries is a call to the diaspora and local investors: the Congo is our best investment.

« In Congolese culture, the farmer has long been perceived as the poorest man in the room. We are here to change that narrative — and to demonstrate that Congolese land has the capacity to feed the entire world. From Congo to The World. »

Our Business Areas

One Group.
Three engines.

GK Industries operates at the intersection of agro-food, technology and investment — three complementary sectors serving a single ambition: building a lasting Congolese industrial ecosystem.

Core Business

Agro-Food

Our heartland. Across 4,000 hectares at the village of Kabamba, Kipuka sector, near Kikwit (Kwilu Province), GK Industries produces, transforms and packages its own products — from field to shelf, with no intermediary.

Palm oil, maize, cassava, pepper — grown without pesticides, processed on-site, distributed under the SANI brand and certified by our quality label Kwilu Bio. All value-added stays in the Congo.

Full supply chain ownership

Production → Processing → Packaging → Distribution. Everything happens in the Congo, on our estate or from our Kinshasa HQ.

4 food value chains

Palm oil · Maize · Cassava · Pepper. Target: progressively cover everything Congolese people put on their plate.

Distribution: Kwilu → 26 provinces

Active in Kwilu and Kinshasa. Progressive roll-out to all DRC provinces, then international export markets.

A living estate

Community villages, natural waterways, ponds and integrated fish farming: Kabamba is a complete ecosystem, far beyond a simple agricultural operation.

Second Pillar

Technology

GK Industries develops and deploys digital solutions adapted to Congolese realities: farm management, logistics, digital presence, institutional administration. Tools designed with and for local actors, available as SaaS or on-premise — in partnership with selected local and international partners.

AgriTech WebTech GovTech RetailTech
Third Pillar

Investment

GK Industries invests in high-potential Congolese companies — GK-branded or not — operating in essential service sectors. Our philosophy: identify credible local businesses, support them, strengthen them. Current holdings include GK Events, Printing & Tours (events, printing, travel) and Imprico (large-format printing, publishing).

Impact & CSR

Agriculture in service
of people and land.

Local employment & communities

Priority given to local workforce from the Kipuka sector, formal contracts, continuous training. Community villages integrated within Kabamba Estate form a lasting local economy.

Clean farming — Kwilu Bio label

Zero chemical pesticide, zero synthetic additive. Our Kwilu Bio certification protects soils, waterways, and the health of farmers and consumers alike.

Natural resources & circular economy

Waterways preserved, integrated aquaculture (fishponds), rational irrigation. Kabamba is managed as a living ecosystem, not an extractive operation.

Congolese food sovereignty

The DRC still imports too much of what it could produce. GK Industries helps reverse this trend — palm oil, maize, cassava grown, processed and sold in the DRC first.
